´The Quiet Section´

'The Quiet section' is inspired by the conditions that Ulrike Meinhof endured in Cologne's Ossendorf prison for attempted murder during the springing of Andreas Baader from custody in 1970. For 9 months Meinhof was kept by herself in the 'Quiet' or 'Dead section' with everything in her cell painted white and her fluorescent light left on 24 hours a day, ultimately leading to her death.
