"In this world we live in, where consumption seems to be our new religion, where our life is incessantly fatten with all kinds of stimulations, it appears that we almost lost our ability to express, or even sense, our feelings.
The Sisyphean action of slicing this big pile of onions, which definitely will have no use later on, is a metaphor of a society which its ability to experience feelings depends almost entirely on external-material stimulations.
The onion slicing action strips us slowly from our apathy and exposes our feelings in the most mechanical way."
